Improvements at Warren Vale Recycling Centre

Recyclers in Rotherham are being warned that one of the borough's household waste recycling centres is due to close next month for improvement works.

From Monday, July 13, the Warren Vale site at Rawmarsh, will be closed for approximately two months.

Anyone wishing to recycle their household waste during this period are advised to go to one of the council's three other sites, which will remain open seven days a week from 9.30 am to 7 pm as normal.

These Centres are located at Car Hill, Greasbrough, S61 4QL; Common Road, North Anston, S25 4AH and Lidget Lane, Ravenfield, S65 4LY.

During the closure period Access Permits for trailers, small vans, etc. issued for the Warren Vale site will be accepted at any of the three other Household Waste Recycling Centres.

However, anyone thinking of fly tipping at the Warren Vale site should be warned that the CCTV monitoring of the site will continue during the improvement works and Enforcement Officers will undertake regular inspections to prevent fly tipping. Any instances of fly tipping will be fully investigated and prosecutions will be pursued.

The Council and its service partners would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience the site closure causes to householders, and it looks forward to offering an enhanced service on the completion of the refurbishment works.
